BIOGRAPHY
Robert Gobor (Róbert Góbor in Hungarian) is a Yugoslavian (Hungarian by nationality) discopop singer, composer, lyricist, arranger, music producer, poet and human rights activist. He was born on the 19.th of October 1968 in Temerin, Vojvodina, Republic Of Serbia, Yugoslavia! He was only 12 years old when he wrote in 1980 his first smash hit called “Gyere Meséld El” which was released in 1988 by a Croatian (Yugoslavian) record label company called “Suzy” on LP and MC with 7 other songs (all the songs were written by him) including the Mega-Hits “Andrea” “Egy Becsei Lány” “Eljön Majd A Nap” “Menj El” and others. This successful album was 31 years later in 2019 re-recorded, remastered and it was released in a digital format as an LP or a so called long play album under the title “Most Úgy Érzem” on the 9.th of July 2019. In a short period of time (from the 19.th of June 2019 until the 19.th of October 2024) Robert had released in a digital format 5 LP albums (or a so called long play albums) and 2 short play EP albums and these albums are: 1.”Dvadeset Metara” (June 19, 2019) 2.”European Lover” (June 29, 2019) 3.”Most Úgy Érzem” (July 9, 2019) 4.”Made in Yugoslavia” (September 25, 2019) 5.”Made in Bulgaria” (October 19, 2020) 6.”Made in Europe” (December 19, 2020) 7.”Made in Vojvodina” (October 19, 2024) As a young main leading singer Robert was singing in 6 local bands: 1.”Klin” (1983-1985) 2.”Magic Band” (1985-1987) 3.”Fontem” (1988) 4.”GB Band” (1989) 5.”Twins” (1990-1991) 6.”Evergreen Band” (1992-1993) and after a long more than 10 years long successful singing career in the bands he went “rogue” and soon he becomes the best Yugoslavian-Hungarian solo artist, performer and composer! For more than 4 decades (since 1980 until the present day) Robert was constantly writing discopop songs and ballads in Hungarian, Yugoslavian and English language and sometimes in German language too! He is the first artist and lyricist who had “invented” the so called Yugoslavian language which is the mixture of Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Slovenian, Dalmatian, Montenegrin and Macedonian language! Since he has a so called Absolute Pitch (AP) which is often called a perfect pitch, he writes his discopop songs and ballads without using (or playing on) any instrument during the writing process!
